Lecture: Sports and Recreation Activities in Philippine Orthopedic Oncology Patients: A PMTS Collaborative Study

Abstract:

The ability to resume physical activity is particularly relevant to musculoskeletal sarcoma patients, a vast majority of whom are diagnosed with extremity lesions during their peak productive years. Using conglomerate data from members of the Philippine Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, this talk aims to evaluate physical activity levels among survivors of extremity sarcomas, determine changes in activities prior to diagnosis and after treatment completion, and to report the incidence of complications during the course of recovery.
