Asst Prof Francis Wong is a consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital, SingHealth, Singapore. He is currently also the Department’s Research Lead as well as the Director of Research for his hospital. He is in charge of collaborative efforts within SingHealth for cell therapy treatments and is the Campus Service Chief of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Cell Therapy Centre. His research and training culminates in being a specialist in cartilage regeneration and joint preservation, with him, being the first ever candidate from South East Asia, to be awarded the prestigious international travelling fellowship of the International Cartilage and Joint Preservation Society (ICRS) in 2019.
